I've had the pleasure of being a parent, teacher, coach, principal, and Assistant Superintendent in West Ottawa over the last 20+ years. I have been a part of the West Ottawa Public Schools community for the past 20 years as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, head high school principal, and now serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. I also have four children who attend school in the district. Through my work in curriculum evaluation and development across the district, I am fortunate to have a front row seat for the innovative teaching and learning taking place in our classrooms. Our district is blessed to have supportive community groups such as the WOEF who continue to creatively seek ways to support educators, while also aligning to overall district goals. It has been a pleasure to observe the hearts and minds of WOEF members working collectively toward Equity and Access for all students.
I joined the board in 2007.
Formerly served as VP and Secretary as well as Grant Review Subcommittee.
I joined WOEF because I wanted to ensure that teachers with innovative ideas had the necessary funding to bring them to fruition. I believe by funding a teacher’s passion, students are able to catch the joy of learning. I stay on the Board

I stay on the Board because through grant follow up visits, I witness the creativity and dedication of the West Ottawa staff and the enthusiasm and character of WO students. Amazing things are happening in our schools, and I enjoy being a little piece of that.
